I went on another run through the countryside on the Wirral today and it reminded me of Young Dreams.
It’s been a little while since I’ve shared it and so for those who haven’t heard it - I hope you like!

—The one distinguishing mark of a true move of the Spirit of God is whether it produces holiness.
Hebrews 11:1 - Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Faith is not wavering, but being firmly convinced of the word of God and acting upon that which is yet to come to pass.
It’s not good enough simply saying ‘I believe’ because faith is much more than just hope.

Faith is being firmly convinced to the point where there won’t be any situation, any word of another, or any period of time that will shake you from the promises of the Lord.
Psalm 119:88 - Forever, O Lord, your word is settled in heaven.
As the word is settled in heaven, it is our job to settle the word in our hearts so that we are firmly convinced of His redemptive nature, healing power, love and grace.
Romans 10:17 - Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Never live in a less place than where God has called you to, and He has called you up on high to live with Him.

—It is hypocritical of us to neglect reading our Bibles, and then cry out in prayer as though we are hungry for God. Real hunger pushes us into the scriptures.
Karen’s told us over and over again to make sure you’re not only eating during conferences. That’s an unhealthy diet. You should be feasting in the secret place every single day. A conference schedule is an unhealthy diet. A classroom schedule is an unhealthy diet. An every now and then schedule is an unhealthy diet. I think God gave us a body that requires such maintenance to show us what we’re supposed to be doing in the realm of the Spirit. That everyday there’s an ingestion that should be happening. We eat three times a day, Daniel prayed three times a day. There should be a constant, steady diet of consistency in the secret place.
Ephesians 2:19-22
Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.
Seriously, feast on that!
I was reading through Ephesians (one of my favourite books in the bible) and God literally just sparked something on the inside of me.
Through the Lord’s grace and mercy we are no longer strangers but have been adopted into His family and are called royalty! We live in His household and it is through Jesus Christ that this is possible!
… in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.
We are a work in progress and as we surrender ourselves to Jesus and let him take control of our lives He will begin to turn us into such a perfect holy temple; one which the Holy Spirit will continually dwell in.
I was reading some C.S. Lewis today and he explained that as we are made more like our Father and we are pruned, we can go through unexpected pain.
You know, if we imagine ourselves as a house, when we let the Lord come in and begin building he will start by doing jobs we know our necessary. He may start by taking away the old pipes or replacing the broken door. Little things, things we’d expect Him to change.
However, as we continue to pursue Him, He may start changing some things in our lives that we never expected. He may start knocking walls down or pulling up floorboards. What we need to realise is that Christ is not just trying to make a nice little cottage or house but He is actually building a palace. A palace that reflects His glory, a palace fit for a King to reside in!

As you make Him the cornerstone of your life, let Him work in you, building you into the perfect holy temple for which He will reside in!
You’re not going to find anything much doper than this and the fact that these guys are proclaiming the gospel makes it even sweeter.
—One great piece of mischief has been done by the modern restriction of the word Temperance to the question of drink. It helps people forget that you can be just as intemperate about lots of other things. A man who makes his golf or his motor-bicycle the centre of his life, or a women who devotes all her thoughts to clothes or her dog, is being just as ‘intemperate’ as someone who gets drunk every evening. Of course, it does not show on the outside so easily: fashion-mania or golf-mania do not make you fall down in the middle of the road. But God is not deceived by externals.
